Gazelle EasyFlow C7 Electric Tricycle with Tworby Conversion
Accessible Dutch Comfort with Three-Wheel Stability
The Gazelle EasyFlow C7 with Tworby tricycle conversion combines one of Gazelle’s most accessible comfort e-bikes with the added stability and confidence of a professionally engineered three-wheel platform.
The EasyFlow’s ultra-low step-through frame and unique pedal-forward geometry allow riders to place both feet firmly on the ground when stopped while still achieving proper leg extension when pedalling. The Tworby conversion replaces the original rear wheel with a dual-wheel balance module, creating a stable electric tricycle that remains upright when stopping, mounting, dismounting, or travelling at low speed.
This combination is particularly well suited to riders who want to continue cycling but would benefit from greater stability, easier starts and stops, and a more confidence-inspiring riding experience.
Smooth Shimano Electric Assistance
The Gazelle EasyFlow C7 is powered by a Shimano EP5 mid-drive motor delivering 50 Nm of torque. The centrally mounted motor provides smooth, natural-feeling assistance for neighbourhood riding, errands, recreational cycling, and everyday transportation.
A Shimano 504Wh integrated battery provides dependable riding range, while the Shimano Nexus 7-speed internal gear hub offers simple shifting and low-maintenance operation.
Unlike a front- or rear-hub motor, the Shimano mid-drive system works through the bicycle’s drivetrain, allowing the electric assistance to remain properly integrated after installation of the Tworby conversion.
Tworby Three-Wheel Conversion
The Tworby balance module converts the EasyFlow from a conventional two-wheel e-bike into a three-wheel cycle by replacing the original rear wheel with two driven rear wheels.
The fixed three-wheel configuration provides additional stability while stationary and at lower speeds. This can make stopping at intersections, mounting the bicycle, dismounting, and manoeuvring considerably more manageable for riders experiencing reduced balance or confidence.
At approximately 72 cm wide, the Tworby remains relatively compact for a tricycle and is designed to fit through a standard doorway. Both rear wheels are driven, helping provide consistent traction and balanced power delivery.
An additional parking brake is installed as part of the conversion.
Designed Around Rider Comfort
The EasyFlow was purpose-built for comfort and accessibility. Its upright riding position reduces pressure on the wrists, shoulders, and lower back, while ergonomic Ergon grips and a Selle Royal comfort saddle support longer, more relaxed rides.
Wide Schwalbe Big Ben Plus tires help absorb road vibration and provide a confident contact patch. Hydraulic disc brakes deliver controlled stopping performance in changing weather conditions.
The bicycle also includes integrated lighting, full fenders, a rear carrier, a frame lock, and an adjustable Gazelle Switch stem, making it properly equipped for daily use.
A Different but Confidence-Inspiring Riding Experience
A fixed tricycle handles differently from a conventional bicycle. The rider does not lean into corners. Instead, the rider remains upright and steers through the turn using the handlebars.
A familiarization period is required, particularly for experienced two-wheel cyclists who are accustomed to leaning while cornering. A professional fitting, test ride, and rider orientation are strongly recommended before regular use.
